author retrospectives

hi everyone,
the team has written about our individual experiences working on the game in the form of blog posts elsewhere. i thought it was a good idea to share these here, as many don't follow us on other platforms.

you dont have to it alone - by merilynn paisley
this is my retrospective. it's spoiler free, and mostly talking about personal issues being a director for this project. though that's kind of a gloomy way to summarize it

hello girl writeup - by mara
mara talks about discovering the medium of vn, and offers some insight into the process of making music for hello girl

Hello Girl, a new visual novel - by mentha
mentha's patreon writeup offers some perspectives into the art of the game, which she was mostly responsible for. there's a lot of concept art and notably, SPOILERS for the game. this post is available for free at the moment of writing.

very late response but i feel like leaving something here

i never really was a fan of visual novels or anything like that; my only experience with them was like ddlc and a few stray things that never caught my attention. that was, until i played good morning and hello girl. something about these two vns just really stuck with me and i became obsessed with the idea of trying to make one, almost in the same vain of the two ehehe

i keep coming back to these retrospectives almost in a way to keep myself on track on what i love. theres a lot of times where i feel like giving up, but i learn to realise thats normal

thank all of u for making something that is really important to me ^_^

thank you for the writeups, this was really interesting to read. i love learning more about what went down behind hte scenes of a project i loved. it really sounds like you all had a wonderful environment to make this game in and it shows c:

thank you for reading, nadia.

i feel endlessly grateful to have the opportunity to work with the team in person. im not completely sure the game would have been made otherwise, or it at least would not have been made in time for the competition
